The newer transmissions have the shifter farther back ,but you still have to cut the top of the tunnel about 2 inches long. If you put the boot from the sc300 on it looks stock. With the older MK3 tranny it would be underneath the the ash tray center console area not worth having IMO. Does that cover it for you?

please please please get it dynoed and do some 1/4 mile runs before doing any engine/exhaust mods so we can see what kind reduction in drivetrain losses we have with going to a manual gearbox. THANKS!

Oh, i also noticed that there was not check engine light while the car was running, NICE!!!

Seems like the earlier SC400's do not throw codes .

Im working on a dyno... but I can give you some insight...

my 1uz+auto+exhaust = 228sh tq, Jakes 1uz+W58+exhaust = 250tq. Similar gearing... But yeah, im working on getting you a actual dyno from my car.

Nice numbers but you gained almost 40hp from exhaust alone? If I remember correctly stock SC400 puts down 180whp. What exhaust do you have? TIA

I said TQ. HP was 212whp. RPMxTQ / 5252 = HP btw.

I have full exhaust, EGR delete and thats it. It was on a Dynojet. I will get a new run once I figure out the little issues with my car.

Honestly, I am not expecting anything greatly increased in the upper end, but the low end I have to say there was.

Older as in MK4/SC300 internal shifter or old as in MK3 supra W58?

I feel like I keep repeating myself.

You CAN use:
92-97 SC300 W58
93.5+ MK4 Supra W58

You CANNOT use (without extensive modification making it not worth it):
Pre 93.5 W58's(MK3 Supra, MK2 Supra etc...

Very similar. I am trying to get a test car to work on but no one is biting.

Basically everything is the same minus the driveshaft, clutch pedal/master cylinder, shifter bezel (needs to be custom).

There is a little thing called a Negitive dyno pull. it mesures the driveline loss across the rpm band. this is way more accurate then trying to compare two runs. due to not being effected by weather conditions, driver error, bad math ect.

As soon as my built motor and AEM is wired up you will have your test car for the R154.
Hey Jake let me know when the kit for the R154 is ready because I have the engine out of my GS and you can take a look for the tunnel clearance and other things. Just PM me and let me know.

Thanks,
Allen

That light was over a year ago, it was held by a magnet becouse someone else didnt think to wrap the cord around somthing and i brushed aginst it. ive been over to the shop 20 or so times in the last year. He wont say a word to me about it, or even really talk to me about it when i asked about it to find out what i need to buy to fix it. so if hes still talking about the light a year and a half later behind my back hes just looking for somthing to gripe about and who the hell are you anyhow?

I dont need to see the GS tunnel both the R154 and the W58 are half the size of the Auto. also even if there was a clearance issue there wouldnt be anything i could do about it the adaptor design is totally baised off where the transmission needs to be in relation to the motor.

OMD it was a joke and not personal. So everything will be ok. I'm at the shop everyday Jake and I haven't seen you. We moved by the way. Do you remember where CFP used to be on 118th we're in there now. Unit number 5. You should come by.

Just an update, car is still running well. I will be switching out the MK3 clutch pedal for a SC300 one...

So the MK3 clutch pedal just doesn't fit very well at all? Is it definately worth it to buy an SC pedal assembly?
