Default !@#$@!#$#@!!!! I bent the shifter lever

So last night I was under the car and going to put the driveshaft in and connect the control rod to the lever. I get under there and lever rod is pointing to the rear of the car instead of to the ground.

I pulled on it a little to try to straighten it and it was not moving. I have not tried anything major to work it but wondering if you guys have any thoughts or wisdom on this. Is this thing not moving (cold steel) or can I get something to get some leverage.

I was debating if I should go to the gated shifter due to this (found one for $150) but I will be going 6 spd later this year and not sure if I wanted to even screw with it. If I could just bend it back somehow I could just move on. Do not get me wrong the gated shifter is better than the long strong firm handle we have but to me it is still the auto shifter I am getting rid of.

I'm sure you can bend it back to a usable position.
