I thought torque converters didn't add any horsepower, but they just gave you better low end torque while sacrificing high end torque.

well the gain isn't anything but through the wheels...say you have around 150 horsepower to the wheels stock(thats about close right?) but 225 at the crank. you won't have 275 crank, but instead you'd have about 200 rwhp..the gains are to the wheels, not to the engine and stuff. it decreases the amount of power lost through the transmission and the rear end.

you will not get 40whp.
And if it does give you better power, it will be on the low end, not peak... so your peak hp/tq wont be affect but your low end will be...

The description doesnt tell you what the stall speed is on one of these. I would just send your core in to Lextreme and let them work their magic and its better on the wallet.

What is "stall speed"? Explain all of what you said actually lol sorry man....

So it says that ill be about 3/4 of a second faster. Is this still true, cause if i dont get power, i just dont waste power in the trans im cool with that.

Quality anybody? atleast the brand?? thanks

Got to Lextreme and look up their torque converter unit. The price is cheaper and it does the same thing. As said before the upgraded torque converter will just give you a better jump off the line, more low end available power, no actual increase it total output.

I jusssst installed the Lextreme one - so far the only difference I see is a jerky shift - I will flush the trans fluid, and I will check and see how supermanny this TC is - So far I am totally not impressed and I think it was an absolute waste of money -

David seems like a good guy he told me to check with him in a week - I ll do that and update y'all

Thanks for the update.. Was trying to determine whether to go the torque converter route or W58.
