Hey *** I am doing it right. Something in the transmission broke and it won't into first gear like it should at low speeds. It used too before. Either way the seal on this damn thing are leaking like a *****. I just can't decide to rebuild it and pay for the rebuild kit or take my chances with another one. I used the W58 out of a mk3 Supra not a MK4. Used the stock driveshaft and tranny mounting point. I want to get a one piece driveshaft.

Honestly... buy another MK3 W58 for like $100 and put it in and if you really want, you spend the time and rebuild it yourself.
But your tranny has nothing to do with W58's integrity, the idiot you bought it from did all the beating.

man i'm jealous! i'm working on another GTE swap for my 5spd SC now, and i'm starting to wish i would have just got a 400 this time and done a manual swap..
i'd sell my 300 but it just has too many goodies on it worth removing lol

Looks like a pretty sweet project dude! Quick question though about the manual swap. I've been wondering whether the engine will play nice without an auto tranny, or if you will be getting a constant CEL?

Im guessing it will probably be similar to using the auto ECU on a manual swap on a 300...you have to use heavy duty resistors to trick the ecu into thinking there are solenoids there, and tricking it into thinking its in neutral so you can shift...
