Wow!!! That kit looks really nice. What's the cost on the kit? How much power did the BL car make?

I can't speak for them, but I think the initial dyno chart says 600+

The cool thing with the kit is the power delivery.

on the thread I think it was saying in the $7-$10K range.

yea they need to get a larger turbo for 1K I belive. It is a sweet setup but my interpretation is less lag = $7K

What are the exact benefits of a compound system. I've heard about it but not that familiar with the concept. I know it's widely used in diesel applications and a bigger turbo feeds the smaller one but that's it. Experts chime in please lol.

*Im no expert*

The way it was explained to me, is that basically your getting the spooling benefits of both a smaller 'single' turbo down low, and the larger 'single' turbo up top while greatly reducing if not eliminating massive turbo lag.

The wastegate situation is tricky because the system is engineered to let the smaller turbo freewheel once the larger turbo takes over.

**It’s more about broadening the power available over a much wider rpm range.

Of course you can piece a single kit together for cheaper but this isn't a single kit.

Most likely not. This isn't like putting together a single, or finding upgrades for your stock twins.

There is a lot more science behind this I'd think.

The research and development that went into this kit should not be peiced together. It's not as simple as a manifold and 2 turbos. The turbos, turbo housing and wheels, exhaust plumping and actuation of it all has be carefully balanced so that it all runs fluidly.

This is why I hate you Chris. Now from what I've heard is this on a 2JZ-GE, or was it an GE-GTE conversion?

Well IIRC the test car was a 2jzge. Mark's car, but I don't think it's 100% stock though. Regardless, the kit looks great, and apparently it works.

Testing was on a another turbo GE. I had to pull out my 40K mile GE-T out of my Black SC and install a built 3.0 GTE for this project. We also bumping up the bigger turbo from a 76mm to a 80mm.
