SC300 with 28 inch drag radial or slick
Does anyone have information pertaining to running a 28 inch tire on a 1992 sc300? Will there be cutting required? Any information would be appreciated.

You'll most likely have to roll the fender, and might need to do some BFH mods to the inner wheel wells. My 26" radials rubbed until I got the fender lips flat. What size tire are you looking at?
One thing to remember if you do go with a bias ply tire is that they grow so you'll need more clearance than you would with a similarly sized radial.

looking for advice regarding the appropriate size tire for the application. Car should make over 900rwhp and I would like the car to hook. I put in HKS drag coil overs and there is quite a bit of clearance width wise.

Not sure about the 28", but I have a pair of Mickey Thompson Et Streets (slicks) in 26x10.5x16, mounted on RX7 16x8" rims. I only used them for a couple track passes. NO rubbing, amazing grip, great fitment.
The tubes are also brand new. $500- come pick them up!

If you're talking about running bias ply tires up front I'm hoping you're talking about getting some skinnies right?
People are having really good luck with the Hoosier slick. Two Supras here in KC are/were running the Hooser 28x10 slick on 16" CCW's and hooked great with them. Plenty of people use Mickey Thompson tires with good results as well.
If it's something you drive on the street a lot you might look into the Mickey ET Street instead of the ET Drag, since they're DOT legal and won't get your car towed if you were to get pulled over for something.
