Default thermostat install - how to prevent trapped air?

I found a good topic last night w/ a step by step on how to change the thermostat on an sc400...it's pretty easy apparently. my only question is will a big air bubble be trapped in the system?

If so do I start the car w/ the rad resovoir cap off for awhile after adding coolant?

thanks
