Default coolant temp (this normal?) pic

lately my coolant temp doesn't go higher than than shown in the picture. I added some coolant yesterday (was a little low).

this pic is on my way to work today. it's 45 minutes into the highway drive w/ it being 60 degrees outside...

it used to go one line higher

This is more than likely the thermostat that is malfunctioning. Try to get it replaced i think that the sc has two but i'm not sure.

Would also recommend getting one from Toyota/Lexus dealer rather than the local autoparts store. From what I've seen, they appear to be made better. Good Luck.

I would LOVE to have my temp needle that low ... even if it means the thermostat isn't functioning properly. That should be a cheap and easy fix. Just remember to clean the block and use some sealnat when applying the new gasket.

My nominal temperature is just above the second bar from the bottom.

Good luck ...
