Default Solenoids

Okay i have searched and found a lot of info, but no DIY on how to replace the solenoids in the tranny... i got the infamous flashing OD off light, and when i pulled the code got code 63 which means bad solenoid... but i cant find out where the solenoid is specifically or the procedure for changing it... if anyone can help me out or direct me to the correct location, please respond. thanks in advance....

you have to drop the trans pan, and the valve body, and then you will see the solenoids.

if you need them, i have them for sale.

110 shipped for 3 solenoids,

if you goto supraforums.com and look in the mk3 section you will see a writeup on how to strengthen the tranny, it shows the trans, and what needs to be done

my thoughts exactly... are accumulators the same thing as solenoids? as far as i know, a solenoid is basically an electrical switch designed to pass current at a certain time or interval..... im interested in urs aliga. i need a price for all the solenoids and that control arm with ball joint... im fixing this baby up nice.

if you read the article, it mentions disconnecting the electrical connectors, those connectors are attached to the solenoids

i did read the article.... so is the accumulator on the other side of the electrical connector? so it goes accumulator--->connector----->solenoid.

You shouldn't need to drop the valve body to swap out the Solenoids
