Default I think I bought the wrong Transmission Mount....any advice?

I have a 93 SC400 and after looking at the DIY for the Transmission Mount I was looking at mine and noticed "How is this supposed to attach to the transmission?" In this picture it shows bolts on the top:

Now here's my Transmission Mount.......

And I have this black stuff coming off to the touch...., is this normal?

I don't know why it looks different. It says that it fits 92-00 SC400's. But just by looking at that pic i'm not sure if I wanna go under and then find out I have the wrong part. The part number on this is 12371-50030. What is the part number to the right one?

That part number (12371-50030) is for 92-00 SC400. Rear Engine/Transmission mount. Good Luck. Don't worry about that stuff flaking off its normal.

Those pictures look EXACTLY like the tranny mount that I put on my SC400.

I am pretty certain you have just what you need. The photo from the DIY is from a 5MT.

Okay so I'm good to go then? Gonna jack this up and hopefully get this thing installed. The only question that I have though, is how will the mount stick to the car? I mean after you remove the cover and expose the threads.... what is holding the mount to the transmission?

The installation is terribly intuitive. Once you are under there, it will be obvious what to do.

Nevertheless, here are some photos I snapped to share with another forum member via PM a few months back. They should help put the mount into perspective.
