Ladies and gentlemen...that is a scam. I'm using reasonable judgment and in my opinion anyway. For some obvious reasons: Takes forever to reply, and says "wrong pics", thats an easy excuse! The pics have not been changed either. Maybe you can ask him to put up the right pics and that'll tell us exactly if he's a scammer or not.
Also, check out the people who have bidded on that tranny, their names are all asteriks'ed out.
From the sounds of it, he was pretty quick to say it was from a soarer and didn't put up much of a fight. Did he explain why it is from a soarer?
And checking the seller's previous feedback, it sounds like they sell clothes, I wouldn't trust that!
Maybe it is just me and I'm overcautious, but I believe you guys, so I certainly wouldn't get that one. Better safe than sorry right?

I once found someone trying to sell an SR20det engine out of a bluebird SSS from Japan. The pic he had was of a 1.8 engine. I emailed the guy and he replied immediately acknowledging the mistake. This guy however, doesn't appear to be a full time scammer, he's got 113 feedbacks. He's probably trying to play stupid and rip someone off for this time.
I think someone should sabotage his auction by bidding like 3K on the tranny and then tell him to jack off just because he falsely advertise something.
my .02 cents
