i just recieved the Torsen LSD diff. and i have one question. its sitting in the garage on the bench now, and i am trying to make sure that it is really a torsen LSD unit. what i tryed to do it hold one of the exles and spin the input shaft which connects to the driveshaft. the other axle shaft would spin. then i had my brother try to stop the other axle from spinning and as soon as he touched it (put some forse on it) the other one i was holding started to spin, in the end both were spinning together. would that mean that it is an LSD? or is there another test you can do with out taking the diff cover off. which i will before i install if just to reseal it to make sure it does not leak later on.

Were they rotating in the same direction or opposite?
If its on a bench why not just open it up and take a look. Just seal it back up, its not that difficult. You may want to freshen up the fluids anyway.
