Catalytic Converter - SC300
Hi Guys,
After a short drive, and after I've turned off my engine, I hear several clicks/ticks (continuously for a few minutes) from what I believe is the catalytic converter. I was told that this can be a normal function or a sign that the catalytic converter is busted. Can you guys shed some light on this?
Note: Car is 1993 w/ 205,000 miles on the odo. Not sure if Cats were ever changed or even if that is needed.

I cant with 100% certainty pin point the sound from the cats. I am as positive as one can be while sticking his head below the door jam to listen. I am pretty ignorant to this issue so I wont rule anything out.

I have a 93 SC 300 and I am just wanted to know. How many Cats does the SC300 and SC400 have? Some people have told me both have 3 Cats and some people have told me the SC300 has just one and the SC400 has 3...Can someone clarify for me?
