My brother just sold his VPC kit (for a Z32 300zx) for $300 complete. There are deals out there.

I bought two for my old Supra, for around $450 complete. HKS still supports the ROM chips and all the accesories except the field wiring harnesses, those have been discontinued as well as the main head units.

Just keep looking. They surface on Ebay every month, but more likely on forums.

The Map ECU is a good box, but still has trouble converting the AFM KV signal to a MAP signal. HKS simply did a better job 10 years ago. Dont waste money on the Greddy Emanage. It really does not have a good reputation for fine tuning. The Map ECU 2 has refreshed software and deals with AFM KV signals better....but if you have a 1jz or 2jzgte already, that problem should not surface.

FCON IV's are getting cheaper, but finding a shop locally that is an authorized HKS dealer and tuner is a serious pain.

Map ECU 2, Halltech, MoTec seems to be the best answers in todays market.

You get what you pay for.

I'd def go with the MAP ECU2 at that level. SAFC tuning on the AFM gets a little iffy up higher like that; plus its an ENORMOUS restriction. A small rectangular box whose face and body have about 1/3 of its interior volume filled up by a mic and the wafflecone grill. Vs a big 4" straight pipe to the turbo.
