just happened today, it just turn off while at the traffic light, so I pushed to a parking and check around, I thought it was the fuel pump give up so I checked with my digital multi meter, there was 12v with KOEF(Key On Engine Off). I checked around and cant find whats wrong with it, wait for it to cool down then it start back up, I drove around 5 miles then it shut off again, so it wasnt the fuel pump. I went home and researched, some people said it is CRANK SENSOR, and some people said pre 96 SCs doest have crank sensor, it built in the distributor. There are things can go wrong with it, so now I am dont know which one is right or need to replace ... anyone went through this please help me out asap... thanks first.

The same thing is happening to my 87 conquest right now. The problem is a wide open injector that is flooding everything. Just my dilemma that sounds close to yours so thought it might help.

Does your battery light come on at all or do you notice any dimming when you use electrical accessories?

I checked and checked, computer diagnosed and nothing show up, I checked around the connectors , the fuel injector connectors were corroded, and may be it stay open and then flood the cylinder like andrewwake said , but I dont smell any unburn gas ... so I cleaned up with a metal brush and electric cleaner, now it runs fine,doesnt shut down on me, but I still thinking that was the problem or not, drive with worry that it'll happen again.
