Getting a sc300
my friend has a 94 a/t with a blown headgasket. hes gonna do the 1jz swap on it and then i'll but it from him.
i've been doing some research and from what i've read the consensus is that the auto starts loosing reliabilty after 350hp+ or in that area.
just wondering if these mods seem resonable to start.
Rebuilt 2800 stall torque converter – lextreme.com $350
24K GVW tranny cooler - $65
SPI Gauge set - $55
Greddy bov - $180
Wastegate t-mod and manual boost controller - $50
3” exhaust to dual magnaflows #14834 - $400
i'm already breaking the bank but i figured if i'm gonna start it might as well start it off right. so hopefully i'm not missing to much

i'd love to, my past cars have been hondas, all 5spd all high rev vtec lol (flame suit)
but we'd have to source parts and he said itd be atleast an extra grand plus the labor.

Those are numbers are in the range of possible. Let your engine tell you by signing up for some dyno tuning. I think you get better gas than California and that will help.

Lil Update**
the 1jz is in and running. i got a boost gauge and a 3" from turbo back to a single magnaflow
ever since then the car has a rough idle and bogs until it warms up, changed sparks ( except for cylinder 5, worn screw) and its still giving the same prob so we'll see
and i have an apexi rsm from jdmjzz30, waiting to go in to take care of boost and speed cut since i top out at 110, think it might be the 18's throwing the mph meter
i plan on boosting under 15psi on the twins to keep it safe
and also plan to get an safc and uego, do i need a oil press/temp gauge, and is the stock bov sufficient cause i like the stealth
