Default 1jz motor mount question

Ive installed a 1jz with 1jz brackets and 97 supra mounts in my 92 sc300. My problem is that there is not enough clearance for the motor to sit on the mounts. It appears to be less than an inch too short. I read that the 93.5-95 mounts are an inch and a half taller. Should I be trying to get the older style mount or could it be an issue with the wrong brackets? Any response would be appreciated.
thanks

Can't you use 98 supra TT mounts with stock mounting brackets?
