1992 sc300 5spd sudden loss of power on highway!
I was going about 80mph this morning in 5th gear. Suddenly, my accelerator went dead and became unresponsive and the car began to slow down. I managed to pull over to the shoulder and shift to neutral, when the car stalled as it approached 500 rpm and lower. I got it to start right away and the problem had disappeared and my accelerator worked once again.
I just had plugs/rotor/cap/wires done and they're all lexus oem parts. Other than this event, the car ran perfectly fine since the tune-up. Any idea of what could be going on? Can resetting the ECU and cleaning the throttle body help this problem is there a sensor that could have triggered the loss of the accelerator?
The linkage seemed fine and I do not think the throttle was stuck closed or open, because once I restarted the car, it was completely fine.
Car has 192,xxx miles and I'm running 93 octane.

so it could be:
1) obstructions in air passage (throttle body, intake)
2) may need a good 'seafoaming'
3) fuel pump ecu
4) fuel pump
5) fuel filter
missing any?
I know many of the questions I have been asking on the forums are questions that have been asked/answered before. However, the only reason I ask as I did above is to gather all the possible problems just to better equip my mechanic to handle it.
Maybe there should be a FAQ for the stalling issue; the information is def there, but the search function in this forum isn't necessarily the best.
TIA
