well guys, finally got the funds for a 1j, I just cant decide to go with a engine set or wait n go with a Clip.

Im looking for a 1j 5spd I plane to swap it myself I have a 20,000+Sqft shop to my disposal with every tool on the face of the planet. Im planning on getting a front mount and I don’t think I need a clip, the only thing im still unsure about is the drive shaft, im thinking one piece aluminum.Ohh and were can I find a Darn Soarer 1j 5 spd engine set (no one seems to have them in stock)

What do all you 1j gurus think?

I plane on getting:

New Flywheel, clutch, and PP
New water pump
New timing belt
Engine mounts
Clutch pedal + master and slave
TT Cruise and Throttle cable
New Tyranny mounts
SAFC II
FMIC
Im sure I forgot a whole bunch of things but you get the idea....

and yes my car is baq together

definitely get the entire clip if you can! As with any engine swap, there are MANY little clips/bolts/other pieces that will ruin your day if you don't have them - this is where a front clip comes in handy

Yeah man,

try to get the clip, i am dealing with the headaches of just buiying an engine but I have a W58 tranny, so I just needed an engine.

AND.............

if your not buying a CLIP make sure you DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES off your old 2JZGE, take the time to unplug or unscrew terminals that are connected to things outside the engine, you might need the clips.

Good luck
