Default Need Help! SC300 Sprayed rubber pieces from transmission I think.

1992 SC300 Stock with Auto Transmission. I was driving today and I heard a sound like a rock hitting the bottom of my car. I also heard a whining sound when I added throttle after that. Stopped, got out and smelt a burning smell. I was only about 2 miles from home so I drove slowly. In my driveway, it was spraying little rubber chunks from the underside. I immediately thought it was from the transmission so I jacked it up and all I can see is oil residue around the transmission bell area. I will post pictures soon, but the ones I took don't seem to show the thing that looks odd. This may be funny to the seasoned modders, but I swear there is a rectangular hole about 4 in wide and 2 in tall just forward of the transmission pan. The whole reveals the bottom of a metal circular object (torque converter?) Is there a blow off plate or something facing toward the front of the car in that area. Don't laugh too hard, but I seriously need help figuring out what went wrong. Am I hosed?

Second question. If it is the transmission, where can a get it rebuilt better than before? Boost Logic? I'm looking to boost to 350-400rwh but I need the damn thing to work at all before I start upgrading.

Thanks,
Slappy

Default Thank you so much lexusboy94

Seriously dude, I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but that is something I would not have thought of. That is absolutely it! I am about to embark on fixing that and getting into some much bigger projects with this car and I'll definately get some before/after pics. 14 year owner of this car and this is the first thing EVER to go wrong with it. That's a serious advertisement. Thanks so much.
