Default CD-2 anyone ever used this stuff?

I cant find auto rx locally and was wondering if anyone knoew how good cd-2 for oil leaks works...?? I have a rms leak ..its very slow but i would like to try stop it with a stop leak additive... also is this safe for my engine.. tranny guys quoted me 550 bucks to replace seal... not too bad.. would hate to ruin a 1500 dollar engine because of not wanting to spend 550 bucks..
all guidance is greatly apreciated..

that stuff works all the same, its a viscosity additive that makes the oil thicker and leave small deposits on the cyl walls filling in small gap...does it work? Somewhat, but your much better off fixing the leak the correct way. Bandaid fixes only lead to bigger problems like with this; can clog oil passages which can lead to catostrophic engine failure. As a former lexus mechanic and now for high end euro cars... do it right and fix the leak otherwise you may be spending that 1500 on a new motor sooner than you think.

Default thank you for reply

I think Ill pay the tranny guy to fix it.. also do you know if its safe to do a tranny flush on my sc400 .. it has 175k miles on it.. runs good but tranny oil is brown... .. my mechanic said that doing a flush on a lexus with that many miles is not an issue... i know fluid needs to be changed but maybe i should do a drain and fill instaed of a flush???
as always any input is appreciated..
