Default power washed engine and now missing on 4 cyl's

Well as of 3 hrs ago my 93 sc400 was running great, but I decided to power wash the engine compartment and now the driver side coil is not firing. I blew all of the connectors out that I could and still no luck. I do have power to the coil but still wont fire. I removed the covers and blew out by the plugs, but the problem is before that. Is there a timing module somewhere or the timing pickup in the dist. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Uh ohh. Sounds like something I did a while back. I presure washed my motor also and only 4 cylinders where working. I just took it up and down the street making it sound like a Subaru. I just built up enough heat to make all the moisture evaporate. Chances are some water might have touched your spark plug tips. Just drive it around for a bit and let it sit over night. Should be good in the morning hopefully.

I'd let it sit in the sun for a few days.
Also, Im curious. What is the best way to wash an engine bay?

Either drive around for few minutes or just rev it up until the moisture evaporates. Or you can take out the coil and plugs and let it dry outside.

Ok the 2JZGE does not have drains in the head like the 2JZGTE. So when you do an engine wash and you don't cover the head you get water in the cylinder head. So that means it has to dry up. To dry it out you can either pull the plugs and the wires and vacuum it out or go to your local auto parts store and purchase anti moisture penetrant made by AutoGlym and then spray it all over the wires and plugs. This will keep them nice and conductive even if they get wet again.

Good luck
