Should I pay for the coil? (SC400)
I know it's a good idea to replace as much as I can for a tune up on my 10 yr old Lex, but man the parts cost runs up fast!!
I searched for ignition coil before starting this thread, but would like your opinions on spending $150 on the 2 ign coils when they're not dead.
I am getting new plugs (NGK iridium), wires, caps, rotors, but that's already $220, plus I'm getting the a/c filter, trans mount, & some touch up paint...another hundred right there.
So comments please on spending another $150 for 2 coils that are not 'bad' as far as I can tell
Thanks guys

You would be smart to replace them. My left one went out WITHOUT any warning.Could not drive the car at all. If it happened on the highway at speed, it would not be pretty. Mine luckily went out on a residential street going about 10mph.
