Default Flat black engine bay...looking for your opinion

I forgot to take a before pic but it was just green with many chips in the paint. I figured since the engine was out and i was swaping some cleaner parts from my crashed car, i should clean up the engine bay and paint it black. This is after i reinstalled the brake booster, brake lines, and abs. Let me know what you guys think.

I used some 500 degree flat black paint from kragen lol. It says its grease and fuel resistant plus i figure the temp rating would work well with my application since im boosted, the engine bay gets pretty hot.

Your bay was green? My 93 and my buddies 95 and 96 bays came from the factory black.

It was a real dark green. You can kind of see the color near the bottom of the tranny tunnel. If you weren't paying attention, you could mistaken it for being black. I wonder why mine was green instead of black like you and your buddies .

looking good! I wanted to paint my engine bay black too when repainting my car, but figured it would be too much work involved.

keep up the good work!

Thanks man. I was originally just going to sand off and spray the rusted areas but they came out way better then i would have ever though so i figured what the hell. The only additional things i really needed to take off or move was the abs, brake lines, and brake booster. The booster was all rusted on this car so i was already planning to swap it with the clean one off my wercked car.

Thanks. Yeah i roughed up the stock paint with some sandpaper then shot it with a layer of primer and finished it off with a couple coats of the flat black.

Am I correct to assume you are putting a 2jz-gte back in that thing (based on your sig)? If so, that's awesome; would love to chat with you a bit on it since I'm about to do the swap myself ...
