Default vpc maf problem?

i was going off DaveH's diagram and the wires for the supra are a different color from the sc... can anyone with an obd1 sc300 tell me which wires in the maf plug that the resistor connects to? when i connect it to maf sensor and sensor ground, i get a maf sensor check engine and an intake air temp check engine.. When it is connected to the intake air temp, i get just the maf sensor check engine.. Either way, its running pig rich no matter how much fuel is taken out with the s-afc...
