Default need a starter!

i know this starter issue is in several threads, and from the symptoms (alarm, battery, electrics work fine, car makes noise when i attempt to start, but wont start) i need a starter! where is the best place to get one? any recommended websites? also my cars real low, wuts the best way to take it to my mechanic? tow it on a flatbed? thanks in advance.

misc info: my car has 107k miles, the car was on for 10minutes on a cold morning, then suddenly shut off, never to turn on again.

If your car shut off suddenly, trust me, it's not the starter.
Beyond that, can't really help much.

I agree, it sounds like it might be something other than your starter if you car just stalled and then didn't start again.

In any case, according to Lexsus the only way you can tow an SC is on a flat bed with all 4 wheels off the ground. I think it has as much to to with clearance as it does with the transmission. Your mechanic should not have any trouble finding out why it wont start.

I replaced my starter with one I bought locally for $115. Dont waste your money on a genuine Lexsus starter.

For the starter, genuine Lexus costs at least 2x as much as the aftermarket and reman ones. For me, thats an easy choice.
