what to do with my scoarer
Hey guys, I am a new owner of a 92 sc300 5speed, I love the car but know very little about it. (Previously owned and drifted s13's 14's (240sx). I am in the process of modifying it. With a budget of around 6 grand, im wondering if its better just to get aftermarker turbos (alot of people i know are against turbo's on an NA), or just swap a 1J or 2J TT, I also want suspension(most likely coilovers), struts, and of course LSD(either from a supra or Kaaz). From my list, u can tell that i plan to be one of the few guys drifting soarers, i already took the car to the tracks, and it drifts beautifully though bone stocked. Give me some ideas, choices (around 6 grand) to think about...Thanks.....

when drifting an sc you will need:
clutch (stage III) exedy i prefer
lsd (kaaz and cusco work great)
bucket seats (damn leather makes you slide more than the car)
suspension suspension suspension
front and rear tie rods (thanx for the advice mogokhan)
bushings (stiffer better)
nice 17" or 18" rims (wider the better)
swaybars do luck (thanx again mogokhan)
brake upgrade
drifting in formula d or events much like that you will need a roll cage (cusco or monstor garage)
and a good coilover set ( i did not purchase one yet. my eibachs do the job until x-mas)
last but not least since you went from an s13 to a soarer the weight might get to you. here is a solution that will help a little:
get racing seats
take out all panels (they either get in the way or get really dirty)
move battery to the rear (somewhere behind you)
take off the door panels and cut like crazy (beware make sure its still sturdy)
take out the radio changer and amp (get aftermarket or nothing at all)
there are the little things i have done and it works so far.

i drift my bone stock 1993 SC3 pretty successfully without any mods, i could only imagine what a car modded to drift is like
