underpowered?
Ok I picked up my 92 sc400 last friday and I have some minor issues I need to address before I can take it for inspection (broken window, headlights). Hopefully everything will be ready by friday.
But I did pop some tags on it from another vehicle and tooled around for a bit, and its lacking in power. I mean for a car with a V8 I expected some pep. My Tundra pick up (V8 as well) feels like an indy car compared to this. Seriously the truck would run circles around this car.
So I'm wondering is this just mine, maybe it has a clogged fuel filter, or the plugs are old, or some other issue. I doubt it though since there was no hesitation from the engine, it starts right up, and runs smooth. (I still ordered the maintainance parts.)
So I was wondering if I'm crazy for expecting some performance from this car?

I am going to do a tune up. I get the feeling that the person who owned it before me had it maintained pretty well. The serpantine belt appears brand new, the engine has no issues. I expected to see power steering pump issues, or something else. But so far so good. (knock on wood)
