cobbled together exhaust
quickturbo had pm'd me few weeks ago wanting to know what i'd been up to
which kinda spured me on to post this - thanks for the motivation
did this back when turbob6 was selling his set up & i was
(really it was all done but the final welding)
this is a modified t88hspl down pipe 3.75 --> 4" extension --> dual 3"
sorry for the football flanges on the 3" but the v-bands back ordered 3x's
massaged the stock tips to cover the 3" tails (sleeper look)
https://www.clublexus.com/gallery/sh...0/ppuser/13123
crap couldnt get the pics to host right - dumped into the gallery - sorry
john
also have a few dyno vid's if OLT or someone could tell me how to properly
post it on the dyno sticky

quikturbo - thanks
gonna try w/ the vid's - if this site crashes dont ban me, i was only tring to up load them
OLT - thank you i'll probably try that tonight (see above)
soarer_25gtt - not as bad as you would think
once the tip asm. is off the stock tail theres a little inner structure inside (adapts the tip down in size)
i measured the back spacing so i could duplicate it w/ the new pipe
there is 2 small tac welds on the bottom, took a die grinder to the welds & the adaptor will
come out. little reshaping by hand & slide over the 3" / retac weld together - done
basically there free to this point - but the chromer needed to take a 100 or so off me to dip 'em
but i ended up w/ a stock looking big pipe exhaust thats reasonably quiet

I love that exhaust Why? Because it looks stock from the back. As much as I adore the thought of putting magnaflows on my car, I cannot stand the "open cannon" look of those 4in (ish) tips.

john thanks for fixing that - its nice having friends who understand my internet handicap
i'm trying to work thru it 1 post @ a time
i've said it before in other posts, we have similar tastes
BUT you can have both - these are magnaflow 14239's they are offset 3" in/out
& the cases are tiny compared to stock
:cough: :cough if i could only get 1 of these dyno vids up you could hear how it sounds :cough:
