There are no manufacturing companies that make a cold air intake for the 2jz engine. Well not that I know of.
The Injen intake is a short ram, collecting the intake inside of the engine bay where there is nothing but hot ambient air.
The only way that I know to make a cold air intake is to drill a 3 inch diameter circle into the metal below the stock airbox, then use an extention or a modified intake to get a filter down there. That is exactly what I did, and it works great.

What about an injen intake with one of those flexible mechanical ducts you can get at home depot to channel air from the lower front of the bumper to the intake? It would direct cold air and also prevent rain water from hitting the intake filter.
