Default Painting The Engine Bay

Ok so i was painting the engine bay today , took a few parts off , took the whole stock air intake, off, i drove a little bit without the air intake, just the throttle body, within a few minutes my car started running like crap i mean i would gas it and nothing it would barely accelerate, it would idle rough, and sound like a tractor, plus my Cats were glowing red. So i turn the car off put the air intake back in , still the same thing. I read it could be an ignition coil, maybe i didnt connect it back correctly, or misconnected some vaccum hoses, but i did everything carefully so.... does anyone have any insight on this, or better yet a picture diagram of where the two coils are located?

did you make sure the MAF was connected? Without it connected the motor shouldnt start, but if it does, it would get not nearly enough fuel. The lean condition would cause the higher EGT and the glow. Pull the efi fuse for a couple minutes to reset the ecu with everything connected. Start the car and let it idle for a couple minutes then take it on a slow, controlled drive around the block for it to relearn its fuel maps.

It was the ignition WIRE, it touched the engine and melted, so 140 bucks later and no more preety cats
