TRD Japan Quick Shift Kit work on the SC3?
http://www.toyota-trd.com/en/strt/i_quick.html
Does anyone know for sure if the kit fits our A Spec cars?
I'm very interested, but can't afford to buy it and not have it work Also comes with a nice TRD shift **** to replace my worn out stocker And if anyone HAS intstalled it themselves, is it easy? Maybe some tips...

hmm, I'm not really positive about the fitment, but if you want a very cheap alternative, then you could cut the threaded portion from the top, then cut out a good 2"-3" from the middle, then get some place to weld the threaded portion back on for $5. Then, you could get the TRD shift **** for ~$40. So, thats a much shorter, somewhat-less-throw shifter for like $45, assuming you have a dremel or a saw to cut it.

Thanks for the info, but I know all about cutting shifters. I don't want to mess with worrying about the weld breaking and notchyness of using a cut shifter blah blah. I can get this from TRD Japan for $350 and would be happy to spend the money if I knew it worked Anyone have any experience with this STS?

I have the TRD quickshifter in my car. It will only fit 95-97's. I even cut another inch off an rethreaded it for an even shorter throw. The shiftknob it comes with is pretty nice, high quality. Ill try to post up some pics later. Id definately recommend getting it.

Thanks for the info bro, I have a 97 and can't stand the long throw of the stocker. It's nice to know that I have an option. Looks like i'll be placing an order for one next month

Do any of you know the details, or at least an idea, why it won't work with the earlier years? I've got access to a machine shop, so I could make minor mods, but I'd like to get some background first.
Thanks!
Thanks!
