Engine differences in 92 sc300 5sp's and the 93+?
I was browsing at work the other day on sc300's (i'm picking up a white one soon) and read somewhere that the 92 sc300 5sp had a slight HP difference from the 93+ 5sp's.... is this true?
Are there any other differences besides the 97+ cosmetics differences?
thanks

I don't belive that is true.. I think in 94 they got a different style shifter on the W58.... hence the TRD short shifter not fitting the pre 94.. 95 got a different tranny tunnel I belive..
And I don't think any HP numbers changed untill they got VVT-i in 98 or 99 I belive..

I think the Chilton's Import Car Manual stated that some years, possibly OBD-II engines, had 10.2:1 compression whereas the older cars had 10:1.
