Default whats the deal with Xerd Headers

on the xerd web site, they say headers are " All XERD headers are for off road use only and not to be used on public roads and highways." What do they mean for off road use?!!! Track? Actually of roading? Whats there reasoning? Is it bad if you have headers and drive daily around town?

It means they delete some of the emmisions equipment and therefore are not considered legal. By not putting that disclaimer someone could buy the headers, fail emmisions, and then take legal action against the company.

Off road doesn't mean 4X4 driving, it just means to be used off of public roads.

companies put that on all car things that could somehow be deemed "illegal", like exhaust systems and blue headlight bulbs

so are the headers worth the money? Even if the car is day to day driving? and the hids are illegal? So how do so many have them?

I don't know about these particular headers, but headers can be one of the most responsive mods one can do to an engine without going FI or Nitrous. If you wanna stay NA I say headers would be a great mod.

Oh, and I wasn't aware HID kits were illegal either. OLT, did you mean HIDs were completely LEGAL now?
