How many NX have you seen on the road besides yours?

I've never seen one in person yet. But... I work from home and the car gets driven next to nothing and I don't really pay much attention to cars on the road when I'm walking from place to place.

I have seen 2
1st was an F Sport in early January on a busy 2 lane shopping road in north central NJ. I think it had new car or dealer plates on it. Was very impressive.
2nd I saw last weekend was a base model on a local road 1/4 mile from my place. I know it was a base because it had the regular headlights and the non-F Sport grill.
Since I am in the Northeast I have a feeling I will see more in the April time frame. It may also depend on when the leases of current Rav 4, RX, and other Toyota family vehicles expire since some customers may trade in to the NX.
I remember when the Infiniti Q50 came out I saw very few on the roads for about 3-6 months. Now I see a bunch more. I have only seen a few Acura TLX's since it has come out. This can be because of a couple of reasons: 1st is new releases don't have the best lease and finance deals 2nd is that lease customers of the prior version need to wait until there lease is close to expiring before leasing the new version.

A base model is not determined by the lights or the grill, there are a ton of other features that could still be on it. We have a 300h and it doesn't have the triple LED headlights, but it has almost all other options, so would you consider that that the base model?

The only true hint at a base model is if the DRLs and turn signal are blocky. To philwojo's point, even with the projector headlights (but with the premium DRL/turn signal), it can be a near-fully optioned NX.

My wife and I have been looking all over Eastern North Carolina and have yet to see one since we starting looking at getting one for the last 2 weeks. Going to pick ours up this week so we will be one of the firsts. One point though is the closes dealer is over an hour away.

It's been 2 weeks since I've posted this (and almost 7 weeks since I've gotten mine) and I still have yet to see another NX on the roads. This past weekend, I drove up all the way up to Maine as well and still didn't come across any along the way. The RX is definitely plentiful, though. I was driving into Boston last night and shared the road with 4 RX 350s at the same time. lol
