DIY: LED Trunk Light Upgrade - 2015 NX 200T F-Sport
I changed out the Super Hot, Super Dim, fuse lights in the rear end of the NX for LED strip lights. Here is my DIY incase you want to do something similar.
I somehow skipped using the number 3, but it is in order...

That is a great mod. I usually replace the factor bulb with some bright LED bulbs that I carefully consider in terms of angle of illumination, lumens and wattage. Your solution would provide the trunk with a more uniform and wider illumination :thumb up:

Love that MOD, I think it will be something I do if we ever get our NX (darn wait times right now). I did a quick search for those lights, here is a direct link to them that at least works for now to make it easier for others:
Would love to see one more pic that mimics what you had in your first "dark" picture with all the same stuff in the same areas. I would like to see how these new lights work with the soft sided storage case in there, meaning how it lights up the area still.
Thanks for posting this great upgrade!!

Here is a retake of the After Shot - with everything back in the same place as the original lighting picture as much as I can get it. (both are iphone 6 plus pics for what it is worth).

I did think about something like this muyself, but decided to go with a flat Panel Light / Light strip.
42mm is way too long - would not fit. The little fuse bulb in the cargo/trunk area is small... I am guessing it was maybe 3/4 of an inch. I will measure it when I get home / check the bulb designator in the owners manual.

Looks like about a 28mm festoon for the trunk/cargo area lights. If you can find 28mm festoon LEDs bright enough to decently light up the trunk area - good on ya.
