Official Lexus NX thread

I own a 2013 RAV4 LTD loaded with everything I could get. (31K)
I sure hope the NX has far better suspension and navigation then the RAV.
If the NX is on a par with the features and ride of the RX, I'll be one of the first buying one.

I never brought a new Lexus before; just pre owned.
I have a question, if the base model is $35k. Will there be one on the lot for that price? The SO wants to know.
For example, my next door neighbor wanted a CT. The price on the website said $32k. So she went to the dealer and the salesman told her there is no such thing as a "$32k CT". The price on the website is for a strip model and Lexus doesn't make a strip CT. The lowest she will get a CT for is about $36k.
Thanks

Her salesperson was wrong btw. While not common I'm showing 2 in stock at $32,960 at my dealer while base price online is $32,050. $33,299, $37,689 and $38,869 are the other configurations we have in stock. Majority are the $37K one.

Go to your local Lexus dealer and sample an 2014 IS, CT or GX to see what the navigation will be like in the NX. The only difference is the NX will have the latest Touch Pad RTI. The best part of the new navigation (IMO) is the one-shot address ("enter an address" > 4345 Rosewood Dr. Pleasanton CA) entry rather than all those voice prompts like your '10 RX Destination > Address > City > Street > House number > Enter.

Short answer I'd say no unless you special order it. Otherwise like most cars which advertise base price, dealers don't stock that. Sure the MBZ CLA is $29,XXX but honestly they are all mid 30's to mid 40's in terms of prices and packages.

Oh ok thanks, she already brought it a Camry hybrid. It was cheaper.

Like would y'all rather get a new CUV that will most likely get better MPG? Or just a cheaper pre owned that gets less MPG? What would be better deal in the long run?
I'm a penny pincher. Here are some of the RXs that I'm trying to get the SO too look into instead. Woman just spend spend and spend some more lol.

For me personally I'd want the newer CUV reason being the technology available such as latest navigation, blind-spot monitor, bluetooth audio etc. wins my heart every time. But you can also get a CPO that's well equipped too. Whatever fits best into your lifestyle I guess
On a different note, found a 2006 RX400h with 50k for about $18k.

I did not like the 3IS at the release photos. Then I kept looking. It is hands down the best looking sedan for under $50k. No doubt about it. It has a presence that just cannot be captured in photographs. I'm hopeful the NX is the same way. For example, here is a camera lens length that is more in line with how your eyes will view the car.
The large front overhang isn't nearly as noticeable in that picture. Anyway, as a '14 Rav4 owner, which shares the bones of the NX, I think it will be an excellent car. The Rav finally has a stiff chassis that is a bit of fun to toss around. I expect with the new power trains and the additional Lexus refining, the NX will be a great CUV. The 2.5HSD is a very nice drivetrain and the 2.0T will probably be great, too.

Honestly, I don't see it to be this sexy bad *** of an SUV. Interior looks rather similar to some other cars and once again a smaller nav screen. I feel like Lexus is lacking in that part because the only one that gets a decent sized screen is the GS and LS. Especially the fact that the RC-F has a small screen considering what you're going to be paying for it. I am not saying BMW is better than lexus (i would never say that btw) just that they are doing something right in that particular category. Lexus needs to have decent sized screens in their more expensive models. Luxury shouldn't be limited to the materials you get or some minor features like 70-way power seats (complete exaggeration of course) and power tilt-telescoping steering wheel. They should put some detail to where it counts. Like I said, I have nothing against any of these things or stating that I don't like my car because of it. Just they should step up in things where their competitors are already at. The exterior isn't all that nice either. Just my opinion. You can go and reply and tell me how crazy I am for saying most of this (if you actually read it all ) but just my honest opinion.
