Not quite.
The Rav4 is one chassis that doesn't share with any other Toyota model. It used to be Camry-based, but no more. The CT is Prius based.
A 200+hp turbo or hybrid version will be significantly tangible compared the the CT's 134 hp, and even the Rav4's 176 hp. Tuning the chassis, suspension, performance, and balance of the NX will make it unique. It simply will not be a Lexus Rav4, or a lifted CT.
We just have to wait and see...

Agreed. The question is, will it be based on the Rav4's 104.7 in wheelbase or CT's shorter 102.4 in ? We have two different sets of spy shots (and likely two different cars/wheelbases), though I'm leaning towards the first which my gut tells me it's based on the RAV4's longer wheelbase for better comfort and room yet still does not encroach on the current RX's 107.9 in wheelbase. And chances are, the next Gen RX in a couple years will be stretched anyway furthering the gap with the NX and any chance of "cannibalization of RX sales".
The Rav4 based NX would appear to be exactly what I would want. The confusion with the CT mules is disconcerting since the CT is too small. I actually used one for a month and had trouble getting in and out of the thing. My left knee took abuse exiting with all my weight on it.
I am confident that Lexus will bring out a NX model that will compliment the Lexus name which some seem worried about.

This year’s Frankfurt Motor Show will host the world debut of a new Lexus concept vehicle. No further details are available at this time.
The new concept will be joined by the new full hybrid Lexus GS 300h saloon, presented for the first time in Europe ahead of its introduction here towards the end of the year.
Competing at the heart of the executive car market, the GS 300h combines low emissions and high fuel efficiency with refined, comfortable performance and low ownership costs.
Lexus will hold a press conference on its stand in Hall 8 at the show, at 1pm on Tuesday, 10 September. This will include a special appearance by the classical dance stars featured in its recent Steps marketing campaign.

The RC or the NX? Although I thought they were both slated for Tokyo Motor Show...

Looks so mean.
I'm betting it's the concept foreshadowing the upcoming GS-F.
