NX Key Glove
Hey guys,
So I noticed that my keyfob is starting to show some age after half a year of being in my pocket with my keys. I noticed that the Lexus.com site offers a leatherette key glove as an accessory which is unfortunately not available in Canada (I've asked my dealer).
It's only $10 at US dealers it seems but it will cost $30 for me after shipping on eBay.
Does anyone have it? Is it worth it?

I love mine. It feels good in my hand. They come in pairs (from Lexus) with one having a black loop and the other having a white loop.
Here's mine (see below). This a pic I took in response in another thread about the valley key portion of the fob.

They have the F-sport version as well. I really like the blue accent stitching. It also comes in a pair, but they don't differ in color like the regular ones. The rubbery "bumper" around it has fallen off on mine after 8 months...other than that it still looks great, and feels great in the hand. Cheers!

Yeah I really wish they were available here... they're so cheap in the US. I actually like the look of the non-FSport gloves, probably because I have an atomic silver F-Sport NX with black interior (red sold out).

The key gloves are very functional in preventing accidental presses and protecting the fob, while adding little to no mass to it. We have them for all the keys in our house. I think it's included when your car is equipped with the Accessories package (wheels locks, trunk mat, cargo net, illuminated door sills), or when your dealer decides to throw in a small, cheap gift.

Got mine in glove compartment too, GS 350 F-Sport, other has blue loop. I think I did have an accessory package, I have wheel lock, cargo net etc - all crap I would not choose to add if I pick my options manually. Is loop to attach to key ring or for something random, like hanging on a key hook ? Key chain was also a gift from dealer, that and a canister of mint chocolate cookies. Will probably not use the keychain though as it adds unnecessary bulk and for dudes that don't carry around handbags bulk matters...

The Lexus one is pretty decent and durable even thought its not real leather, and a great bargain even @ $30.
You should see what Porsche charges...straight up highway robbery
Here's my NX key with my Macan key. Best part is the Lexus dealer threw in the key covers when I purchased the car, as well as many other things.

I kinda thought they were "hoky" at first, but am so glad I have them! You never trigger your remote functions from your pockets like my older Acura remotes!
I'm sure it will save on wear & tear on the remotes in the long run! I also got them included in the extra package of wheel locks, cargo net, etc.

All three of my 2016s came with the cover. I bought them from three different dealerships all said they come free with the F-Sports. So if you didn't get yours someone at the dealership probably took them.
Both of my ESs came with them too. The 2007 they were already on the key fob when they handed me the keys and the 2011 I had to ask the sales guy and he went away and came back with them on the keys.
Also you can always ask them for free stuff, I have left every time with either a hat, a shirt or both. My daughter got a key chain with hers. No one has ever said no, they want your future business and referrals
