Weather Channel problems on screen
I have my navigation screen configured with navigation on left half, music in bottom right quarter, and weather channel weather information in the upper right quarter. The weather information very rarely comes up. Does anyone else have this issue or a solution to it?

Weather radar information can be received via the HD Radio or by the Lexus App Suite application on a Bluetooth phone.

Maybe your phone is not getting a good cell signal? If you aren't using your phone to connect to your vehicle, then maybe there isn't good HD radio reception in your area?

Its slow to load, same happens in my NX and my wife's IS. I also noticed it in the 4Runner. The ability for the weather to come up is tied to how strong of a HD radio signal you have. If you're in a weak area, it won't come up.

I don't have it on our home screen, but I tried to use the weather map a few times and it always said "loading" on that screen. I live 30 miles west of the city of Chicago, have great signal for radio and it was like this for over a month. I also had great phone reception and had that connected in the car as well. I know the map isn't he same as the weather, but I would think they might be linked at least.
After about a month or more of this it finally just started working, didn't do anything different.
Also, we had two different phones that connected to the NX and neither would get it to work nor would just the HD radio.

I have my home screen set up with the weather in a quarter of the screen. I set the location to the city closest to where I live. It works fine until I shut off the NX and then come back and restart the engine. The weather info always goes back to the largest city near me but not the closest one I set. I reset it several times and it still reverts to the location I don't want. The nav unit by Lexus is full of frustrations and to top it off I just received my renewal for Enform to the tune of $344.85!!!No way.

I only renewed the Safety Connect and Remote portions - $219.95. I use the "remote" and "guest driver" functions all the time and I love it when I get emails when I forget to close a window or lock the doors.

OP Murdy, the HD signals come from both HD enabled local radio stations and from your paired phone if you have the free Lexus Enform App Suite enrolled. This App is also how you may control Pandora and other Apps on the Navigation Screen rather than using your phone in view of the Police!
To enroll in the free Lexus Enform App Suite go to www.lexusdrivers.com . You could and should sign on to this free website but it is not required. Click on the Lexus Enform tab, scroll down to just before all the footnotes for Lexus Enform App Suite and click set up. Fill in the fields and you're in.
