I've replaced everything but the backup/reversing lights with LEDs.
ditto...same for me...however, i just wanted to know the bulb sizes. cause apparently according to this thread it seems the difference lies with the rear cargo light. '15s use festoon bulbs...whereas it looks lik '16+ use mini wedges...i just wanted to verify cause i will be ordering very soon. nd i'm just trying to order the right stuff.

it seems the rear turn bulbs can't use oversized bulbs, but otherwise everything looks to use the same bulbs. just the turn signals.

So far my only frown about my 2017 NX is the dim lights (although it could be my old dim eyes) in the cargo area. Found this thread about 9 pages deep and thought it would be good to bring it back to the front page as I am sure there are a number of new NX owners on this forum who would also like to swap-out their incandescent bulbs for LEDs.

Would someone please be so kind as to summarize (I tried, but got lost a couple of times) the proper bulbs that go in the 2016/2017 cargo area and vanity lights?? And how to acquire them?
Thanks!

should be a 194 or T10 bulb. Do a search on ebay for "T10 LED" then get a pair. You can easily take a look at yours first to verify. The 2015 was a festoon style (like a fuse).

I can't guarantee these fit - might be too long (I have a 2015), but I used them for something else and like them:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-x-White-T1...hVNiMD&vxp=mtr

these are nice too - again, might be too long:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4pcs-T10-COB...FYm~-v&vxp=mtr

these should fit for sure, but won't be as bright:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/10x-T10-5-SM...NhEnOA&vxp=mtr

these are long shipping times from China. You can find some that are local for a little more. (me, I'd just order all of these and see which you like - cheap enough)

On my 2017 I replaced the cargo, and backup lights with led's see the last page of this thread, I posted a link of the bulbs I used. Haven't looked at the vanity lights yet since I really don't use them.

Thanks for all the help finding LED replacement lights for my new NX.

Not so much disappointed that Lexus has not upgraded the lights since introducing the NX in 2015, as I am surprised!

My wife has a 2016 Audi Q3 Prestige with excellent LED lighting throughout the car, and I would have thought Lexus would have wanted its NX to keep up with the competition.

Thank you, @MissEllie! I've been enjoying my well-lit cargo area after almost two years since I started this thread (1-2/3 yrs).

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic case covering the bulb? I can pop up the end facing the switch and the other end appears to slide straight up, but it's not cooperating. I hate to break this tab off on a new car!

I can't answer your question, but I can certainly relate to you not wanting to break anything, that's why I took my LEDs and F-Sport to my Lexus dealer where they replaced the bulbs for US $18 each.

We're three months short of the car's 6 month checkup, but the dealer still looked over the car and answered my questions while I stuffed my self with "free" pastries and coffee.....life is great!

You've got the right idea and normally I would do that! I finally realized there was a tiny, short pin at the bottom of the cover and if I angled it a little and pulled it, it would come off. Hallelujah, the bulbs have been replaced! Cost was $3.98 for 4 bulbs from eBay and a lot of aggravation and worry.
