possibilities are endless if we can do that.

For iPhone it would work if you the car had CarPlay capabilities (Not full mirror of the phone but the necessary apps). Toyota is working on releasing vehicles that can take advantage of the feature that iOS is offering but for now there's no way to do it unless you can hack the multimedia system with third party applications like you showed.

it looks complex for what the guy in the video did. I would hope that the software gets updated to allow 1 of the quadrants to show info from your phone or at least add further customization from the various enform apps (like weather, sports, scores, stocks, facebook, etc...). Logic tells me that even if this happens it may not be available as an update but only to new vehicles purchased.

Have any current Lexus owners received past infotainment system software upgrades that add features?

Are you using an iPhone or Android ? and did you get it to work ? If I get carplay or android carplay to work with my navi on IS250 it will perfect.

So for a chromecast to work though, your phone and the chromecast must be on the same network, so am i undrestanding it correctly that he's using his phone 'as a router' with wifi tethering?

Since this is the Lexus NX forum, you might check on the Lexus GS forum.

The easiest way is to change the whole interface. It is direct bolt on and can switch between factory system and android UI. You can also add Apple carplay to it.

There are many you can find from Taobao which is like Chinese Amazon. If it shows up in Chinese, you can right click on the web page to switch to English for better understanding. The prices are in RMB. Most of the sellers do ship oversea, or the safest way is to ask around local shops near your area and see if anyone can help getting it for you. You actually buy a 10.25 inches screen so it is good upgrade for pre 2018 models.

Yes, I do. I installed it myself and everything works fine so far
You can switch between Lexus stock system and android interface with a touch to the screen.(it is a touch screen) Interface language can be changed in the setting as well.

Hi Do you have a link to the exact unit you purchased.

Did you notice any improvement on the quality of the rear camera image - due to the screen being a higher resolution??
Any idea if this will work or has available Australian maps

thanks. Anthony
