Is NX a copy of RAV4?
RAV4:
Overall height (without/with roof rails) 65.4/67.1
Overall width 72.6
Overall length 179.9
Wheelbase 104.7
Track (front/rear) (17-in. wheels) 61.8/61.8
Track (front/rear) (18-in. wheels) 61.4/61.4
NX:
Overall Height: 64.8 in. (with antenna)
Overall Width: 72.6 in.
Overall Length: 182.3 in
Wheelbase:104.7 in.
Tread front/rear: 61.8 in/61.8 in (with 235/60R18 tire)
62.2/62.2 in. (with 225/65R17 tire)
I know Lexus claims it is not.

Is a CT a Prius, an IS a corolla, an ES a Camry, a GS an Avalon, an RX A Highlander, a GX a Prado, a LX a Landcruiser? Of course they are that''s why we buy them. Toyota's core engineering and Kaizen philosophy.

Lead Lap
In this case, Lexus re-configured a LOT more parts that they did between the ES and the Avalon or between the Highlander and the RX. They literally changed the ENTIRE suspension with different weld points. About the only thing that is the same is how far apart the wheels are but even the hardware that holds those wheels there is NOT the same. Oh yea, I think that the interior rider's side dash is also similar. Do a search and you can read those details yourself

Platform/component sharing is a common occurrence across all manufacturers with some manufacturers sharing more than others. The NX/RAV4 have the least in common among the competitive group.
BMW is doing it internally pumping out a 4-series coupe, X1, X3, X4, and 3GT out of a 3-series, while Audi heavily uses the Golf/Jetta, Passat VW platforms, tranny, and engines for their A3/4, Q3/5, and A6.
Similarly, the Lincoln MKC has more content sharing with the Escape than the NX is to the RAV4.
Porsche Macan shares a platform with the Q5 while the Cayenne is with the VW Touareg.
Evoque has the Ford Ecoboost 2L Turbo.
RDX platform with the CRV.
And the list goes on.

+1. And let's not forget totally different engines.

When NX is available for the test drive I would have to test drive it and possibly test drive a RAV4 after that to see if there is any significant difference in road feel, ride quality, steering feedback, etc.
I did not see much difference bet. RX350 and Highlander exc. the later was bigger and more difficult to maneuver in tight spaces.
I test drove RDX and found it to be very similar to CRV in suspension and steering feel, but with better acceleration (6 cyl. vs. 4-cyl. motor)
BTW, the rear brakes on my RX are the same as on Siena minivan.

All manufacturers try to reinforce the separation between vehicles like this. The most recent that come to mind, in addition to the NX/RAV4 are Macan/Q5 (per Porsche, something like 1/3 Q5 content 2/3 unique), and MKC/Escape. When the previous gen ES350 came out, the Camry comparisons were unavoidable.
Once the dust settles the cars will succeed or fail on their own merits.

CT = prius
IS = similar plaform to GS, no toyota equivalent
ES = Avalon (old ES was camry)
GX = 4runner / Prado
LX = Sequoia (old LX was landcruiser)

Although many may say that it is not and in deed only shares about 20% of the components; if you look at them side by side; (minus the front end) they are almost identical
