New non-remote master key - Help! Help!
Guys,
I got a new pre-cut non-remote master key from Swell lexus for my '99 Rx300 which i am trying to program based on the instructions below. However, once i remove the working pre-programmed key from the ignition, the security light begin flashing indicating that the system is not ready to be programmed. What do I do wrong?
Thanks
Programming replacement keys. 1998 and up Lexus models
-Enter the car with a working pre-programmed key and close all doors.
-Simultaneously depress and release both the brake and the accelerator pedals.
-Within 5 seconds, insert the working pre-programmed key into the ignition. Do not turn the key.
-Within 15 seconds of inserting the ignition key, depress and release the accelerator pedal 5 times.
-Within 20 seconds, depress and release the brake pedal 6 times.
-Within 10 seconds, remove the working pre-programmed key from the ignition.
-Within 10 seconds, insert the newly cut transponder key into the ignition.
-Depress and release the accelerator pedal one time. The security light should now begin flashing to indicate that the computer is reading the new key and programming the system.
-Leave the new key in the ignition for at least 60 seconds. When the security light stops flashing, the programming process should be complete
-Start the vehicle using the new key to verify that programming was successful.

So,you got the valvet key (the gray key) and I assume you still got the master key(the black key with remote entry).
Make sure the security light is not flashing or you can lock and unlock the door with remote to clear it.
Insert the programmed master key into ignition key and turn it to on.
Depress and release gas peday 4 times( 5 times for the master key).
Then depress and release brake pedal 5 times( 6 times for the master key).
Remove the master key.
Inserts the new valvet key into ignition and turn it on.
Depress and release gas pedal 1 time and wait until security light stop flashing.
