Default Need help on EPS system computer

New here but here go's I just recently bought a a third generation gs350 and my damn power steering went out. I took it to the dealer and they told me its the main Computer which will cost me $1030. I was wondering if somebody here has ever had this problem before and also if someone can tell if the computer needs to be activate or its just a plug & play thing please somebody help me on this.

Assuming it was diagnosed correctly, its just a plug and play swap. The computer is located under the battery.

It may require performing a zero point calibration of the steering angle sensor after replacement of the ECU, and that would only be able to be done at a dealer. But the swap is pretty straight forward. Remove the battery and tray, a few bolts, a few connectors, and its out.
