I have had little experience with transmissions and can't afford to pay the 450.00 the shop wants to look at it. I have found a used trans. for 475.00 and can have it put in for another 600.00. The car has1890000 miles and runs strong. Is it worth the money to replace the transmission. Is there maybe a less expensive way for me to check the transmission problem how much should I pay.
