break-in period?
Is there really such a thing? The reason I ask this is because when Honda builds an NSX, they always put it through a test drive, that's why there's always a few miles on the car. The only thing is during those first few miles, they put that car on the track and abuse the living crap out of it. So I'm wondering do we really need to break in a car?
I can only feel for those people that buy something like a porsche and have to spend the first month breaking it in.

in the NSX,
honda tests it on a track after it's fully assembled.
but, the engine is tested on a test setup to break it in.
it's on a track after assembly to test out suspension, cooling, and other systems.
for all cars,
the reason for the break in period... is for the:
1) brakes...
2) and lets the ring seat...
