I have a 2007 IS 350 with 47k on it, I am the 3rd owner. The car has a clean title but it was involved in a fender bender before. When i bought the car the owner told me it glitches sometimes. Within a month i noticed it a few times but now it happens once a day. Everything works on the screen, including the dvd player but the camera at random times glitches when you back out. As in it turns black and you can't see a clear picture of whats behind you. I'll take a picture and post it next time it happens. I noticed it mostly happens, when the car is cold in morning but occurs during the day sometimes to. The car still has a warranty till May but i don't think it covers the camera. Any ideas of what it may be?

most likely will need a new camera. it will be covered under the basic 4 year/ 50k mile warranty, but not under the 6 year/ 70k mile. i think there might be a TSB for that concern. hope i could be some help.

Thanks! I might just have to do that. I went to the dealer to get some recall work done and they said they had no idea what it might be and that they would have to check it out, which would probably cost a few hundred dollars. The weird thing is that after they did the recall work, the camera started working fine since. So i don't know whats going on with it.
