Default Driver brake pads wearing faster than my passenger

Car:

98 Lexus GS400
Supra TT Front calipers + plain Brembo rotors.

so i checked my pads the other day and noticed that my driver pads were about 1-2 mm less thick than the passenger side. Also 2 months back i had my rotors resurfaced and noticed that my driver rotor was the warped one..

and lastly when removing the caliper on the passenger side from the rotor (after removing the 2 bolts holding it) the caliper slides off easy even with the brake pads. Doing the same to the driver ide have to give it a tug and wiggle it out.

oh wait one more.. when applying the brakes the driver side tends to make crunching sounds at one certain point of the rotation

whats the deal with this? is it possible that my driver caliper is slowly failing/seizing n needs to get rebuilt?

1-2 mm isn't too much, but it might be something to worry about, especially given the rest of the issues you might be having - they aren't too terribly definitive, but ya never know...

Probably need to lube the caliper pins.

what pins do you speak of? the only pins on the TT calipers are the 2 pins holding and lining up the pads.

He was probably thinking the stock calipers, as they are floating calipers (pistons on the inside only)... that doesn't apply to yours that have pistons on both sides...

There is one other possibility and that is a bad brake hose... hoses can come apart internally and allow fluid to travel to the caliper under high pressure, but not return as easily, as the return is only affected by the square cut seals on the caliper pistons...

pull the pads and the pistons should retract into the caliper relatively easily... open the bleeder when you do this, as if you push one piston in, it is likely another will push out, versus pushing the fluid back into the master cylinder...

Definitely worry... if they are opened at all, you will need to go through the bleeding process, else risk introducing air into the system... as cheap as brake fluid is, if you are doing any work on the system at all, it would be a good idea to completely replace the fluid...
