a complete transmission flush is not a home project unless you have the pump to flush all the fluid out (re-fill will take 16L or something, alot) what I do is just draining the transmission oil very 6months, with just 2L everytime =) I think that works great anyway.

I drain the ATF while it's hot after driving in order to get more out. And if I let it drain for 2 days, I get about 3+ liters of old ATF (cold). Jacking the car up in different positions also help in draining.

By the way, I was thinking of getting a pair of ramps to make oil changes easier. But from the looks of the picture in the ad, I wonder how easy it is to overshoot the ramp, since it looks like it might require a short burst of acceleration to get onto the ramps. And it looks to be major damage to the side dams if you overshoot the ramps.
Any thoughts on this?

Power braking = accelerating and using the brake at the same time with both feet. People do that to burn skid marks, heat up the tires for a race or trying to go up an incline slowly without it getting out of control.

well, if you gonna use the ramp, just be carefull, if you have a stock car, it does not really hurt anything anyway if you ran over it hee hee, If you ran over the ramp, just use the lift to lift each side up to remove the ram and try it again, been there, done that hee hee. Just make sure you don't step too much on the gas pedal the next try, push on the gas and release it right the way, do that couple time, you will be on top of the ramp, when you on top, the ramp lock your wheels, you have lesser than 1/2 of a second to release the gas pedal, then you will be fine.
my car is too low for the ramp, but i used to use the ramp on other cars in the family, it works great.
you don;t really need to drop the pan and clean the inside unless you have 100K miles, the magnets at the bottom of the pan does a pretty good job of holding all the dirty metal shaving.
My next one is a write up on changing differential oil.

Speaking of ramps.......
Here's a "pre-ramp" ramp, if your car is too low for regular ramps:
Here's what happens to your ramps when you overshoot them:
